Pipe Flow Gas Pressure Drop is a pressure loss calculator application developed by Pipe Flow Software, designed to efficiently compute pressure drops in gas flow systems. The app utilizes compressible isothermal equations to accurately evaluate friction loss and fitting loss outcomes.

Pressure losses can be determined using a variety of methods including the General Fundamental Flow, Complete Isothermal Flow, AGA, IGT, Panhandle A, Panhandle B, and Weymouth equations. Gas density variations are automatically taken into account utilizing the Ideal Gas Law combined with either a calculated CNGA compressibility factor or a custom compressibility specified by the user. Additionally, the app enables the definition of atmospheric pressure and standard volume conditions based on specific requirements.

To aid users in defining gas data at specific conditions of temperature and pressure, an integrated gas properties calculator is available.

The App supports both Imperial and Metric units with the flexibility to customize individual fields to specific units. Result values can be displayed up to a specified number of decimal places.

The accuracy of Pipe Flow Gas Pressure Drop calculation results has been validated against numerous published data sets from reputable sources. These validation results are documented in the Compressible Results Verification PDF accessible through the App.
